Manager Supply Chain / S&OP (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Manager Supply Chain / S&OP (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible - Location: Emstek, Germany

The main role of the Manager Supply Chain / S&OP is to lead and optimize the S&OP Process of Kalkhoff Werke. The Manager S&OP will execute strategic initiatives, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement within the supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure having the right product, at the right time in the right quantity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to development and implementation of strategic plans and objectives for the supply chain function aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and industry dynamics to anticipate future supply chain requirements and opportunities.
  • Lead and execute the S&OP Process, developing a comprehensive strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability.
  • Identify key gaps and opportunities for improvement, synchronize technology and processes across markets.
  • Drive close integration among Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance.

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance to assess the tactical Demand Plan (12 – 18 months horizon) by Market, Model, Month
  • Define and achieve inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies to balance inventory carrying costs with service level requirements.
  • Implement inventory optimization techniques to improve inventory turns and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Generate forecasts for suppliers and Global Procurement in order to ensure visibility on future requirements.

Purchasing

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Purchase Planning team, Global Procurement, suppliers and Pon.Bike Asia to secure required capacities, minimize lead times and ensure timely availability of materials and components.

Production Planning and Inventory Management

  • Support the “New Product Introduction” Process and consider the product lifecycle in the planning process.
  • Collaborate with the production planning activities to optimize capacity utilization, minimize lead times, and ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Responsible for managing stock of components and bikes according to agreed levels (in budget and Weeks of Supply) in order to manage an important part of the Net Working Capital of Kalkhoff Werke.

Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement

  • Improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to supply chain performance and benchmark within Pon.Bike and where possible with Industry peers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, root cause analysis, and post-mortem evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency and agility.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or operations roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment (experience in S&OP preferred).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, cost savings, and process improvements in supply chain operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools (SAP IBP knowledge preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Language skills: German (mother tongue), English (at least C1)
